George Ebey of Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition reports that  the Boardwalk construction on the Towpath Trial outside of Zoar in Tuscarawas County is completed. He says, “We would like to thank all of our volunteers for doing such a superb job.  Both boardwalks look amazing and will be enjoyed by thousands of people for years to come.”

The boardwalks were built to carry trail users over wetlands and are part of the 2.7 mile expansion of the Towpath Trail from Zoar to Zoarville. As this project wraps up there are 83.7 miles of the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail completed from New Philadelphia to Cleveland.
